La La Choirs

Love music, always singing in the shower or grabbing your hairbrush to sing a long to the radio? La la is the place to come! A fabulous non audition choir, singing a huge variety of songs with fun at the centre of all we do. Sam is an inspiration giving everyone confidence to sing out, let go and enjoy making music together. Come along, forget all the usual stresses in life and make new friends. A bonus is that if you want take part in concerts we raise lots of money and awareness for local charities, which makes the whole experience even more worthwhile.

My second year at LALA which has been all fun and encouragement to sing with enjoyment. Sam is the glue that holds us all together in more ways than one. Even on nights when Ive been reluctant to go out, you finish the evening feeling recharged....singing is so good for you mentally and physically. Give it a go....its free to newcomers for two sessions.

Our choir is the best thing after a rubbish day at work, Sam is a funny and very talented with the musical side of things, but more importantly we are a community and we help each other - everyone is welcome we have a strong tenor and bass section but always looking for more people to join especially men, if you are lonely and looking for something fun to do on a Thursday night come and meet up all - promise you will end up smiling and forgetting the day you have had at work - go on you know you want to !!

Belonging to La La has changed our lives! We have a fantastic, professional musical director in Sam who is passionate about singing and particularly the positive impact it has on health. She really gets to know everyone and promotes a caring family-like environment. We sing a wide variety of songs and have the opportunity to perform at various concerts throughout the year (optional). Geoff & I joined in January 2016 - one of the best decisions we've ever made! Through La La we have a whole new circle of friends, we laugh a lot and always come home from choir on a Thursday evening feeling relaxed and uplifted.

We joined Ottery Lala more than 6 years ago and have had so much fun learning new songs and performing at fundraising and other events. Sam inspires confidence in us and is funny and caring. We have made some lovely friends there and can't imagine a Thursday night without Lala!
