The views from the house are stunning. You open the front double door and the ocean is there ready to be observed, like private cinema :)
Inside 2 bedrooms one with double bed, second with two bunk beds. Design is effortless and very well matching location and the building.
At the back there is a private space for camp fire - perfect spot for watching sunset.
It is a 10 min walk from carpark which actually makes it even more special as it is right on the coastal path.
Perfect day, enjoy morning coffee in the sun at the front of the house, looking at the ocean, later go for a walk straight from the house. Finish the day with a glass of wine, camp fire and sunset.

I stayed for 4 nights, in weather ranging from MET weather warnings for storms, to bucolic Devon spring sunshine.
It takes 10 mins to bring your bags from the car. Only the last 3 mins of the walk is up a steep path.
There is a small fridge, hot shower, plenty of logs for the fire, USB chargers and lighting. The Architects have done a great job creating a very functional space for muddy walkers, whilst making it homely and comfortable.
Beds and bedding are super comfortable.
If I could give one bit of advice. Google how to use a log burning fire before arrival. Our first night was spent a little chilly once Id done my research the other nights we had a strong warm fire throughout the night.
Opening the door at first light and after sunset you will have the most incredible experience of being alone and connected to the land youre on. Only the sounds of sea, birds & weather wash in through the building. Otherwise it is total silence. The building has a real sense of being strongly grounded to the land. We sat and watched the sky for hours.
Hikers pass though during the daylight hours, and on the whole we found those interactions incredibly rewarding. Met a carpenter that worked on the roof, who was walking 23miles from Seaton to Exmouth to prep for the Dartmoor Peaks challenge.
A 30 min walk (turning left) brings you to Ladram Bay, a wonderful beach for wild swimmers. There is also a shop and bar/restaurant here. Further east along the coast path you can walk to the top of High Peak. The views are utterly breathtaking.
Otterton is about 45mins walk and has both the excellent Otterton Mill and Kings Arms Pub. The pub can be fully booked at weekends though, so book ahead then.
The River Otter, home to Beaver Dams (you can spend sunset Beaver spotting) is an hour walk away.
Budleigh Salterton also about 60-90 mins walk (turn right) with a particularly excellent fish and chips shop.
Nell & Sam are wonderful hosts. The location, access and setting are not for everyone. But if you like a bit of adventure and dont mind the effort to find it, this is your place. Unless Ive booked it again, which I intend to do.
