Avis Car Hire - Yeadon

Car was smaller than other rental providers for same category of car. Was offered an upgrade at a price. No personal service, handed the keys and left to figure out workings of the car myself & local area including where nearest petrol station was for the return. Won't be using Avis again I'm afraid.

We recently rented a car from Avis/Budget from Leeds Bradford and the experience was refreshingly hassle free and we would have no hesitation in renting a car from this company again.

Carefully check for damage on the hire car before you sign the vehicle condition report. 90% of the damage on the car I hired was not on the vehicle condition report I was asked to sign at the reception (prior to even seeing the vehicle). I reported the damage to the chap doing the paperwork and he wrote it down on the red Avis envelope which contained my car key. After I dropped off the car, I was billed for this pre-existing damage i.e. the damage the Avis chap noted on the Avis envelope. Luckily I kept the original envelope containing the hand-written notes of an Avis employee describing the damage. I am currently waiting for Avis/Budget to respond to my email, but will never hire a car from them again given their less than honest, as well as unprofessional behaviour.
