Barclays Bank

Bank closed .... no sign outside why. Slow service. Slow uninterested staff. Worst branch ever.

So unimpressed by what used to be really good branch. Blank and very blunt refusal to take cash for business banking over the counter after 2.30..and it was only just 2.30!. Referred to dreaded machine that wouldnt accept the notes and couldnt bank it in the end at all. Pay stupid amounts in charges and very poor service. Not good enough.

Called in today , joined the queue, to be asked by one of the new members of staff how he could help. I explained I wanted to know when a cheque would be cleared , that I paid in . I had my card for the account ready in my hand, " it might clear today or tomorrow "he said, I asked him to check for me he said again "it could be today" I told him it's not cleared today, he then most rudely went to help someone at one of the cash machines, and ignored me.

Every time I try to pop in to the bank it's closed. Really thinking of changing banks

*edit. Went to barclays bank again recently and the younger man that helped me was absolutley lovely, so helpful and went above beyond to see if there was anything different or an alternative option he could do to help me with what I needed. I think he's recently new. If he is he will be an asset to that bank if not new he already is! and hopefully the other staff will look up to him and get some tips from him. Thank you 5 stars to that man x The staff are terrible and so rude. Well the older blonde lady yesterday was, No need for it. But tbf the majority of the staff here have always been quite rude and off with you, why work in a job dealing with customers if you treat them like rubbish and speak to them like cr*p and clearly would rather not be there helping us. Due to how she made me feel I will be leaving barclays its only a savings account I have with them, the other banks in oswestry are much more helpful and nice to you.
