        We booked at Sweeney Hall because it was dog friendly, the reviews were generally good. We stayed in The Cottage which is a private, self-catering cottage but you can still use the hotel. We were very disappointed with the general decor and state of the cottage. However, the hotel itself was amazing, stunning surroundings, friendly staff and lovely food. We mentioned we thought the cottage was in desperate need of a good refurb and asked to look at the rooms in the hotel for future stays. We were shown three other options, all individually decorated and they were lovely, with stunning views.

        A great, comfortable clean stay. Good rooms, questionable bathroom privacy (room 11) excellent food / room service, polite, well mannered & friendly staff. Food & drinks: Excellent very happy with the food and quality.
