Beautiful lake with a lovely path all round it. Surrounded by forest and moorland, a fabulous place to come walking with the family, dog walking, or on a sunny day, for a picnic. With a bubbling stream at one end, the kids too will love it. If you love nature then this is one wonderful place to go.

Beautiful walk around the reservoir that takes about an hour. Well paved (roadstone) pathway with good access from two car parks. The car parks are not large but adequate on a quiet day with one only able to take about 8 cars, the other maybe 40 or so. The reservoir is lined by forest for the most part but there are plenty of places for good views. This is excellent dog walking territory with plenty of spots for your dog to jump in. Most people I saw had their dog on a lead, there was the odd exception. Dog mess didn't seem to be a big problem but it was noticeable mainly by the car parks. All in all a recommended walk for all abilities and ages.

Nice short walk from the car parks through the woods around the reservoir with plenty of birds/wildlife to see or hear the paths are great and wheelchair friendly. And there's plenty of seating dotted along the way. A great place
