        The Sheep Wash is close to Cod Beck with ample parking, easy walks around the reservoir, and good for dog walking. Ideal picnic spot in the summer and good fun for children by the river. Popular in summer when the sun's out and would recommend the Golden Lion in Osmotherley for a drink or food. It's also a good starting point for many walks over the Moors.

        The footbridge over the cod beck is on the Cleveland way. Theres a lovely circular walk over the bridge up to the entrance of the forest cattle gate/grate and follow the road down to cod beck reservoir and back to your car
