Eustace and Horace Short two of the famous Short Brothers who built the world first aircraft manufacturing company, lived in West Hampstead and are buried at Hampstead Cemetery, in Fortune Green Road. Their graves had seen better times but with great skill, care and attention to detail by the family run monument masons A.C. Stoneworks, the graves are now a testament to these great British pioneers. Located by the chapel at Crufts Corner it is a welcome sight for those who love history, aeronautical buffs, and the local canine community. Well worth a visit.
