The food was generally very nice, not sure red cabbage belongs on a roast, but maybe that's just me, the spuds were a little firm, but the rest of the food was incredible, perfect beef & pork, with fantastic crackling. The decor, although clean was a little plain and lacked character, the 2 staff members that served us were very friendly and attentive. We would visit again.

Requested a table last minute so was lovely of them to squeeze us in as they was low on roasts . Service at the bar was terrible . We asked for a couple of drinks and paid tor food at the bar . She didnt tell us to sit down or if we had to wait for drinks she just walked off . So we sat down . No drinks came . Went back to the bar and she had forgot our drinks which happens . But it wasnt busy in the bar . Had about 7 people in it . My cup of tea came without a saucer and one of our folks had food on it . Food eventually came out . Our side orders didnt come and when we asked they looked shocked so I guess that was forgotten Aswell. When the pigs in blankets come out the sausages looked anaemic and the bacon looked boiled . My cauliflower cheese was just cauliflower with cheesy water. I asked for another tea and it came back in the cup I already drank from . Potatoes had clearly been sitting there for half hour , could barely cut them . I appreciate for 35 thats completely reasonable for a roast and we did go late but the service was shocking and we will not be returning .
