The Yew Tree

Not a bad place on the outside but run by a great family team, warm and friendly. Fantastic food, the mixed grill was cooked to perfection and presentation spot on a chef the landlord should be proud of, hopefully the brewery will spend some money on the place this place can go far with an investment.

I have fond memories of the yew tree from when I was a kid, we used to go with our nan and grandad almost every Saturday afternoon. You could not beat the quality of the food for the price back then, and they kept it the same for decades. Imagine my horror when I pulled up and saw a sign saying under new management. Unfortunately the yew tree has changed into a mid priced pub style restaurant, and it is no longer worth the money, such a shame

Excellent food. Had roast beef dinner. Beautifully cooked beef & great selection of vegetables. Competitively priced too. Also friendly welcome by staff.
