Just a note of thanks to the whole team at Ombersley for their magnificent hospitality on our latest HAGS Golf Society visit on Sunday.
Even though our Nos were down on previous visits, we had a most enjoyable afternoon.
The welcome from Jordan & Richard in the Pro shop was excellent & special thanks for arranging our Pins & long drive markers.
Thanks always to Brian the starter for the efficient course briefing.
The course was great and really enjoyed by all our members especially since our own club & others locally have been carry only for months, great to get the buggies & trolleys out again.
The course set up with little rough certainly helped to speed up the flow of play, the greens & fringes were running true & were well managed with very few pitch marks noticed on the day. The fairways even managed to a good bit of run.
Back in the clubhouse a great selection of beers served up by Pete & his team. Appreciation to Joe & the kitchen for the best steak & ale pie & chips we have ever enjoyed.
Overall a marvellous round last Sunday & thank you also to the members we chatted to for their courtesy & patience during our visit.
