University Campus Oldham

Don't bother, the quality of teaching here is poo and the course is a waste of your time and money. The students are nothing academically or intellectually progressive. Dumb and there because system said go to university. It's run by Oldham college and that says it all. Poor teaching and service with a toxic, dysfunctional workforce who have a negative attitude towards students, teaching and learning. There are a lot of teaching staff who failed to teach properly, are lazy, and have a can't do attitude and as a result, students get poor grades. (There are good teaching staff) The culture here is an anti-student attitude where they see students as inconvenience and problem. It's full of black and Asian people and they let anyone on to the course so don't worry about grades. They need students. Lol. The degree courses are outdated and not in line with the current needs of the workforce the and professional world of work. A typical day will include pointless pieces of work where the students don't have confidence in teaching and learning taking place. You do pointless classwork where you don't learn anything and waste your time. 50% of the degree course is pointless and none beneficial to you professionally and personally. Everyone sits here and moans about this. Even the teaching staff say the same, but they don't make up the course, that's their take on it. The campus is full of rejects from Oldham College and OSFC where they would never get on a proper degree course in a good University . The students here will never get a professional job and work in low-paid jobs or in the public sector.

Don't listen to all the other reviews, this university changes my life - I was on verge of suicide, but then, then I came to Oldham university from London - though the campus is small, the community more than makes up for it, I found my one true love at this university, Jannessa - we're getting married next week

Its actually a really nice university it's small & quiet and everyone knows each other. Its peaceful and you will get all the help you require. You won't find peace in a huge university it will be hectic and most likely a lot of travel. However in UCO it's ok, they have a library, canteen, computers. If they offer the degree you want, it should be good.
