Mum has been here for 2 years now, the staff seem to be caring and attentive. Visited several homes when looking for mum and this appeared to be one of the best. Yes there are one or two issues but none of which are really detrimental to the residents.

upon a recent visit to see a relative i was appaled at the staffs attitude, stood around chatting and ignoring patients needs.think the management need to seriously review the staff there, also one member had a strong smell of alcohol on her and what i think to be marijuana of some kind, this is not acceptable when looking after the elderly, and think the management should do some sort of random testing to make sure these people are fit to do there jobs and give the elderly the care they deserve,.

I have just received call from a very dear friend who is suffering from heart failure. He was extremely breathless when I visited today so I didn't stay long. At 7.30pm A call came through and although he tried to speak to me, he was too breathless. However, there was a 'carer' in his room with him and the way she spoke to him was appalling! He has told me before that some staff have been nasty with him and now I have heard it for myself. I am meeting his social worker on Tuesday morning and will certainly be demanding that he is treated with the respect he deserves! I will also be visiting him tomorrow morning and reporting what I heard to whoever is in charge. I have an N.V.Q.2 in health and social care and did mobile care for over 10 years so I know first hand how undervalued and demanding the job is. I have NEVER spoken to any service user (and never would) the way I heard him being spoken to! Thoroughly disgusted!
