Oldham Labour have desicrated this town. It's a market town. Money taken from residents in the highest council tax in now such a deprived area.
Somewhere in oldham council is a declaration that it should remain retail and market yet oldham council are reducing this town to nothing more than a slum full of chicken shops, Turkish barbers and takeaways. Not enough done to tackle the issue of how these latter places survive when they are empty.
Retailers have supported this town for decades with some family businesses being the hub and lifeline for generations
Oldham council sucks!

I parked in the street outside the ground at the Chaddy End. Enjoyed the game, came back to a parking ticket on the car for parking in a permit only zone! No sign near the car, double yellow lines on the opposite side of the street. I walked 40 yards up the street where I found a sign. Hardly legible! Saw another car with a ticket right next to the sign! I walked down the street where I found another sign, hardly legible again! Shouldn't there be some kind of marking on the road? I saw a massive new sign on the way out of the area, Google maps didn't take us past that on the way in! Do something Oldham Council, or is it deliberate to catch people out?
