We came here from 2017 as our old vets were extremely expensive. They were okay with the routine stuff, but appointment times mean absolutely nothing to these people. Appointment at 2.30? You wont get seen until 3.30. Ive arrived 30 minutes early to an appointment and still had to wait 50 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. When one of our dogs started to develop a serious issue with her bowels they investigated several times and couldnt work it out, costing us a fortune on the way. One time the lead vet gave her an injection before he told us anything about it or asked if we wanted it. He said shed be fixed in 3 days (she wasnt). We went to the counter and the injection cost 70!!! He just gave it to her without saying a word to us first. I was furious and complained but got a generic apology from the head office of companion care. Later on in 2019 when my dog was still poorly they said that this is just her for life now, this is just how it was. I refused to accept her being miserable and in pain was just how it was so I bit the bullet and took her to a different vet for a second opinion. They immediately said it was serious, identified the problem and referred her to a specialist. Unfortunately she had been left so long without the proper care it took years to solve. I couldnt be happier with our new vets who are more caring, more communicative, respect appointment times and respect owners. Dont just accept poor or mediocre vets because you think they probably know better than you. If it doesnt feel right, go to other vets in your area until you find one that feels right!
