May 2022 update - I found out that this company has gone into liquidation (not surprised!!) Contact voscap.co.uk for details -- confirming the work on the loft has been completed but not without it's faults: - loft completion was behind schedule by several months due to bad project management, terrible workmanship & staff turning up as and when (probably because they were on other jobs elsewhere!). - at the time of hiring them they claimed to be members of the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) they were not and the FMB were aware they were using their logo. They are now members of the IWA. - faults were 1) original stairs to loft was built too high and badly built when they removed that & replaced with new stairs it left walls needing to be replastered. 2) leak from loft bathroom ceiling & cracks in loft bedroom - this was because it was not sealed properly. 3) pipe blocked under loft bath this was because too much glue was used and then loft co. tried to repair it with black tape. We independently got this repaired as Loft cons. (despite sending texts did not come back to us). March 2022 - There is now a problem with the pipe to the roof guttering as it is starting to come away and looks like it may fall off. I've texted & emailed and have not had even a reply to confirm receipt of my contact!

Had loft conversion completed by the loft consultancy back in 2017. They went complete against the architectural drawings and as a result I have an unsafe and not regulated loft conversion that has failed fire safety. They never wanted to help me and have said I dont have a guarantee as I didnt pay the final balance. The reason I didnt pay was due to the amount of leaks and issues they cause me and my young child. One of the main issues was they left me with no banisters on stairs for 3 weeks knowing I had a 2 year old in the house who fell from it in week 2. They still wasnt willing to help and now we have leak patches in our main roof which they reroofed brand new only 3 years ago. Please do avoid at all cost they look and seem professional but sub contract a lot of their work out. Plumber completely cut my electrics outside I had no outdoor security lights for 2 weeks with a little dog who we could not see when we let her out at night. He also didnt install a radiator correctly and as result it leaked everywhere upstairs and warped some of my newly laid laminate flooring. Worst thing is they went against plans and did not put in a fire safety window/egress velux which were on the drawings are not excepting fault. We have no choice but to proceed to court. Anyone who is considering getting loft done with them please feel free to VISIT mine or speak to me personally and I can save you a lot of time and hassle by not going with them. After leaving this review Malcolm calls me straight away to say he his happy to work with me to resolve this (after years of ignoring and not replying to us, the whole company not just him) to Say he will be over at 5pm today Then he messages me to say remove the review and then he will come and discuss with me after an hour of waiting for him!! I wasnt happy about this and said to him after we have discussed it like adults then I will be happy to remove it to which he replies NO remove it then I will see you. He blackmailed me and said he refused to come and see me unless I remove this review first. We recorded the conversation if anyone would like proof of how disgusting this company is. ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING SERVICE AND THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A PROFESSIONAL COMPANY. To make things worse more wet patches are turning up on my loft roof they did and they are saying they will do nothing UNLESS I REMOVE THE REVIEW. AND WE TOLD THEM WE HAVE CHILDREN AT HOME BEING AFFECTED BY THIS. A 4 yr old and a 7month old baby and they still refuse to help. While trying to resolve this problem for over a year now I managed to speak to an ex employee who said he left after 11 months because they were a joke of a company. We have been quoted just under a grand to fix the roof they didnt complete to a professional standard by a reputable roofing company.

We are happy with our loft conversion. The quality of the build is good and we are happy with the result of the work and all the extra space it has provided us with. We decided to go with the Loft Consultancy due to their very competitive price, good reviews and the personal service we initially received. The price of the build came out pretty much on point with just an additional 450 to upgrade our bannister to match our existing style, and for fire alarms in every room. In the grand scheme of things we were really pleased with how the build remained on budget and Danny and Malc were true to their word on the quote provided. Mark Smith oversaw the build of our project and his craftmanship and attention to detail was fantastic. He gave us ideas that we hadnt originally considered in the designs and allowed us to make changes along the way as we saw the build come along. We had a few problems to overcome with the design that the architect had drawn out of our bathroom (we used our own architect - not the Loft Consultancys) but Mark was brilliant in helping us find solutions to the issues. We were originally told our build would take 6 weeks but could go up to 8, but did end up over running significantly and caused us undue stress. All of the work is contracted out- which isnt a problem because as all contractors were fantastic, but as such it would have been nice for Danny and Malc to check in more often to ensure everything was moving along, and also see what their customers were getting as an end result. They were available on the phone though for key issues. The main delay in our build was the delivery of windows, which we were without for several weeks. Its with the regular check ins, that perhaps we wouldnt have found ourselves in the situation that we did and other things could have been finished in preparation for the windows arriving and last fixes being done quicker. Overall we would recommend the Loft Consultancy based on their competitive prices and quality workmanship. If they could just nail down the communication and check in a bit more regularly both with clients and sub-contractors theyd be better.
