Surrey Hills Falconry

Took my son and husband for the VIP experience, all booked and paid. Last minute, I emailed Laurie and asked if it was possible for me to participate as well and he was so accommodating - at no extra charge! We had a really delightful afternoon, my son is very keen to get into falconry and Laurie was open and honest with him about the good and the bad, encouraging him to go into the sport with his eyes wide open and having done the research. Laurie's level of expertise is clear to see, the birds are so well kept and happy, the equipment beautiful. The experience itself is well worth doing for anyone remotely interested in this - I totally fell in love with Dennis the spectacled owl, and it was heart warming to see how much Laurie himself loves the birds. Highly, highly recommend!

Brilliant educational and enjoyable experience. Beautiful well cared for birds. Fell in love with Dennis the Owl and Vinny the Vulture. Having a Vulture fly and land on your arm is something special for sure. I loved the dedication to the welfare of the birds. I learned a lot. It was a lovely way to spend the morning. Laurie clearly has a special relationship with his birds and now I know a lot more about falconry.

The whole family had a fantastic time at Surrey Hills Falconry. Seeing these beautiful birds up close and getting to understand their abilities and characters better was extremely enjoyable. The kids were in awe, especially at feeding time! I also have to mention Laurie as while the birds are the attraction, without his passion, knowledge and funny stories we would not have enjoyed it anywhere near as much.
