    First time here today as usually use another salon in the area but haven't been overly happy with the last couple of visits so thought I'd try Trudys. Well , i am over the moon with my colour . Julie was so welcoming from the off. Gave honest, no nonsense advice that really settled my concerns. I have long hair and Julie was the quickest i had ever experienced in foiling. Was always offered a drink throughout and nothing was to much trouble. I wish I had gone here before. The phones was always ring, had another client in as well, and Julies service did not faulter under once. I had a good laugh too. Julie, thank you for making my day. Its been a very long time I have walked away 100% pleased with my hair. You have worked wonders and I will most definitely be your regular. Xxxx Service: Hair coloring

    Went into Trudys three months ago after having tried to bleach my own hair at home which went completely wrong. Jules was amazing and was really patient and advised me what she thought would work best on my hair. She explained to me that it was going to take a few appointments before it was going to be the colour that i was looking for. She always told me after every appointment what she would do during the next appointment to try and get closer to the result i was looking for. After a patient 3 months and much fun and laughs in the salon with jules she has worked wonders and has finally gotten my hair to the colour ive dreamt of having all along! You are an amazing stylist and i would 100% recommend Trudys it is a really fun and welcoming salon and the staff are brilliant!     I booked an appointment with Trudys to get my hair cut and dyed, after which I was left feeling really disappointed . Not only did I not get the colour I wanted, but when I politely told Julie, the colourist, that the colour was more of a red than a purple tone before she had even applied the dye, she responded with attitude that I have already mixed the dye now! The back colour wasnt what I expected it to be, but it was a colour I did find okay. However the front was orangey/peachy and I had asked for a baby pink shade and had even showed her a photo! After calling again and asking if I could come back to get it fixed Trudy was very nice about it and said of course. However the phone rang 5 minutes later and Julie, the colourist, demanded that I come in 40 minutes before starting my shift for work the next day. I raised my concerns about whether this would be sufficient time to do this, but she said that she would make it work. The next day she tried to make me feel guilty for having to come in on her day off to correct her mistakes. She not only put SEMI permanent dye on the front bit of my hair, saying that it was not possible to use a permanent dye, but she even charged me for it even though it wasnt me who had made the mistake of making the wrong colour up?? Just to make matters worse she left the top part of my hair bleach blonde and didnt even bother to touch it up which wouldve only taken a second? As I felt so disappointed with my hair I wanted to make Trudy the owner aware of this as soon as possible. Due to work I was not able to come in the next day to discuss all of these issues. My partner kindly went on my behalf. My partner returned to Trudys on my behalf to explain how I felt that I should receive a partial refund. My partner explained the situation to Trudy expecting some sort of understanding and willingness to keep the customer happy. However she was told off for being rude for expecting the bare minimum of what a qualified hairdresser should be capable of doing? This made this the third time in total that Trudys had been contacted to sort this out. Not forgetting that I was even charged for that semi permanent dye used to correct their errors! I have never experienced such a care less approach to having my hair coloured. She didnt care about the outcome and the fact that I wasnt happy with it. They tried to pressurise me in to liking it. I was charged 96 for this (this excludes the cost of my actual hair cut). I am definitely not going back and you have lost a very loyal customer who only wanted to feel confident about her hair and instead was left feeling very self conscious. Service: Hair coloring
