We spent a long weekend here at the campsite and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the pub lovely and campsite an absolute delight, very peaceful. There are lots of places to explore nearby on foot, which was a real bonus. Some great places and other pubs to explore. We also loved that they had various walks written out on laminated cards to take away before returning after the walk for others to use...why don't more places do this?! The only issue for us was the food in the pub...one of us enjoyed it but 3 of us were rather disappointed. The vegan ravioli was a sloppy mess and overpriced at that. However, all in all, a thoroughly enjoyable place to stay and we will certainly be back. Highly recommend!

Nearby activities: Was close to Montacute house, National trust property. A quiet beer garden and parking available. Food & drinks: Quick friendly service. Child and dog friendly. Noteworthy details: Has a basic campsite, that looked clean and was in quite out the way location. Small so has limited availability, probably best to book as far as can in advance. Dog friendly.
