Just managed to pull my rear trim off the back of the car and damage around the exhaust. I called Mercedes recovery as I was worried about driving the car. Chris Smith arrived on a very cold, busy night, within the time frame I was given, he managed to put the car back together very quickly and gave me very good advice about how to get the damage fixed. He was cheerful and polite and I am extremely grateful to him for his help. Thank you Chris! Service: Auto body & trim repair

This is a long story so forgive me. And was a while ago but Ive been in a long winded dispute with credit card company. Broke down and green flag sent WM. They came pretty quickly to get me off A27. Took me to service area and diagnosed injector failure. Offered choices, one of which was roadside repair. Sent 2nd engineer with injector. He was banging my engine so hard the whole car was swaying. Somewhat perturbed I enquired what was going on and was told one of the two injectors was stubborn but that it would be ok. Got me back on the road. All good I thought. 630 but injectors arent cheap and I was glad to get it sorted. Due for service I asked my mechanic to check injectors. Unfortunately my car needed other work and he said he didnt have time but car was running ok and we could book in another time. Booked again but same thing, bearing had gone so got that fixed with view to checking the injector at a later date. Booked in and was taking long trip and asked my mechanic to do a check.. fluid levels etc.And check injector. He said the car had lost a lot of oil and hed topped it up, but that oil leaks can be long winded to find so booked in for full diagnostic on my return. Check oil each trip. I did. I checked and topped up before every journey. It lost a little oil over the 1000 or so miles I drove that week. Took it back to him. . . He found the cam cover was broken, damage to an injector and the injector bracket had snapped. I contacted WM who eventually responded saying they wouldnt assist with the 1200 repair as I had driven the vehicle with known fault. I tried via credit card company under section 75 but they said they wouldnt assist as the independent engineer report they asked for, where I had taken the removed parts to, was done post repair and therefore wasnt acceptable. So despite my mechanic writing a report and a 3rd part garage writing a report I had to absorb the full cost of their shoddy workmanship. I strongly recommend that if you have any work done by this company you immediately take it to an independent garage to assess the work and get a full report of anything is amiss. Then contact WM to ask they send an engineer to look so they can see for themselves. And try to get them to fix it but of course will need to get THAT checked by an independent and so on. Otherwise they will refuse to put right anything theyve done. I understand things happen. I understand the bracket and bolt snapping is a thing that happens. The cam cover breakage can only have been caused by their engineer. That they ignored my second email says all you need to know. They ignored me so I tried the credit card company. The only option now would be small claims but I do not have the time or money needed to do that. I should not have been placed facing the repair for the cam cover at the very least. But they choose to ignore me. Their website says they are insured. The email asking for insurer details was ignored. Horrific customer service. Horrific mechanical engineer. Pity I had to give one star. I suppose that could be justified in the swift rescue. Also consider avoiding green flag who stated my contract for the rescue was through them but not the repair. I shant be using them again either. Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair
