Matthew's Kitchen Seafood & Grill

We went to this restaurant to celebrate our first anniversary but the whole experience was kind of disappointing. The starter scallop was quite nice however my grilled half lobster was clearly not fresh even though the seasoning sauce was nice, the dish was still ruined as seafood is all about freshness. I grow up in the seaside and I have had so much seafood in my life I can tell when they are not fresh. A half lobster which costs 32, I would expect it would be fresh at least. I gave the feedback to the waitress and she responded that its not possible as all their seafood was delivered this morning and they did nothing about it at the end. Whats worse, when my husband paid for the bill, the waitress charged him 51 extra and luckily he glanced at the receipt and call out the issue then she refunded the extra charge. This is not acceptable from my perspective even though she apologised at the end.

Every dish was absolutely delicious and the portions are very generous. We had the fish soup, beetroot and goats cheese salad and the fish taco to start with. All were great starters! We then had the grill special, the fish and chips and the Bouillabaisse- again all great dishes. Will definitely come back!
