Barefoot Flooring

Awful experience with this company. We asked for specific advice about which type of carpet to choose for two bedrooms and the advice given was incorrect. We chose the same carpet to be fitted into our two bedrooms. Once fitted we realised one carpet was a completely different colour to the other and also had some strange marks where the backing had been damaged and both carpets were not stretched enough and had waves in the following day. When the company came to have a look they tried to say the wrong colour carpet had been laid a different way and was off a different roll which was absolute rubbish as it was clearly the wrong carpet. Anyway they did replace it with the correct colour but only because they were able to claim another from the manufacturer because of the backing damage. This company do not take anything away and even left a carpet knife blade in the rubbish they dumped in my front porch. You have to empty your wardrobes, move all your furniture and they dont even bother to hoover your carpets leaving your newly fitted carpets looking a right mess. One person fitted our carpets originally and was just in a massive hurry which is why I believe we got such a bad job. The advertising at their showroom says they take all the rubbish away - not true but interestingly when they came to change the wrong colour carpet they did remove the rubbish as they must have realised their mistake but didnt want to admit it. My carpets look fine now however I wouldnt have chosen them if I had been given the right advice in the showroom and when things go wrong they are not a pleasant company to deal with. Just seen a reply from Barefoot which is exactly what I expected - we spent ages moving our furniture and preparing the room - we got a bad job as the fitter was in far too much of a hurry and they laid the wrong carpet in the spare room and obviously want to now review us as we dared to complain about hurried shoddy work and getting the wrong carpet. Awful!

Fabulous company- efficient, courteous, professional, with a skilled installation team. It was a flawless experience and Im absolutely delighted with my carpets and what a difference it has made!
