This is a lovely hidden gem in Oakham. Easy to find and walking distance from the station. Alison is personable and accommodating. A very good host. The room was amazing, very clean, spacious and modern decor. The breakfast food left was of good quality and quantity. The bathroom was spacious with an excellent shower, heated towel rack and plenty of linen. Walking distance from grocery stores and high street shops and spoiled for choice on places to eat. Comfortable bed and had a good nights sleep. Had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend anyone staying in the Oakham area to book here.

Rooms: Super clean, spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. Gorgeous shower. Lovely! Nearby activities: Rutland water country park nearby. Walkability: Smashing location right in the centre of Oakham. Easy access to lovely little shops, and a great selection of good pubs and restaurants. Food & drinks: Nice additions in addition to coffee/tea, such as orange juice , yogurts and breakfast cereals. Wine glasses too, which is great! Noteworthy details: The host is absolutely great, so friendly and helpful - it made the whole experience so much more special, thank you!

Perfect place to stay in lovely little town. Communication with Alison, the owner, was so helpful and quick. Clear, easy instructions on how to find the room and where to park. The room is tucked away off a little courtyard. It was busy in the afternoon, but when we got back in the evening, really quiet. The room was spotless, everything we needed. Nice little kitchen area with full size fridge, microwave, kettle. A tray with lots of tea and coffee, lovely breakfast things laid out for us. Cereal, croissants, yogurt, juice and milk. The bathroom was good, again spotless. Plenty of towels and shower wash etc. a nice shower! I do hate it when the showers are rubbishthis was perfect. A really useful folder with local information. An ideal place to stay as a base to explore the areas. Thank you. Would certainly stay here again should we need to be in the part of the country again.

Rooms at Number 6 was easy to find and is very central. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The bathroom was gleaming. It looked like it had never been used! We had a lovely breakfast left for us - croissants , cereals, yoghurts and orange juice. There was a fridge, a coffee machine,(as well as a kettle and a microwave. My partner loved the fact we didn't have to get dressed for breakfast, and also loved the fact he was able to eat his 'breakfast' in the middle of the night when he got hungry! There are plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants close by if you are looking for lunch or dinner. Alison was very helpful and has also provided useful information in a folder in the room. We had been looking for a pub or a hotel, but from now on we would always stay at No Six - if we can get in!
