Excellent place for all the little bits you need for a job. Screws and bolts etc by the single, lots of electrical bits for wiring etc, loads of tractor and farm and garden machinery bits and bobs including oils.

Horrendously ripped off with a strimmer repair. Dropped it off stating what the suspected issue was and asked for an estimate, if that's what was wrong. Was told 45 - 65 tops. Asked them to call if it was anything greatly different so that we could decide whether to proceed or not, depending on cost. The strimmer is a 15 year old machine and in working order, worth 50 top, second hand. Was told, not a problem. Then after weeks of no communication from C and M, I called for an update, to be told that it was ready and the cost was, wait for it.........over 219 !!! Having looked up the cost of a new one, I discovered that with some shopping around, I could buy a brand new equivalent for less! Shocking lack of honesty and proffessioalism, in my opinion, to carry put a repair without any correspondence, costing over 4 times the worth of an old machine and more than the cost of a brand new one. I mean, I knew they were horrendously expensive and there are plenty of loaded Rutland folks with money to burn, but this takes the biscuit out of a hard working family with no spare cash to wallop around!! I gave a period of 4 weeks to allow them to come up with some kind of agreement/compromise with the cost. I had to again chase them, as they didn't get in touch and was offered 10% off and no apology at all, or acceptance that they had done anything unreasonable. The only option left to me was to leave them the strimmer in payment for their unauthorized spending. Cheers C and M, you did me a real favour. 1 unhappy customer.
