BSL Electrical

I'd been meaning to add a review of BSL Electrical for sometime. I can't say I am a fan of adding reviews, but Brian has come round a number of times allowing me to provide a fair, balanced, and comprehensive account. We started with installing 3 security cameras - I had several quotes - one of which was from my village which was three times more than Brian's (I later heard the other guy overcharged a friend of mine). Once I could see what kind of guy he was and what he could do I asked him to do a lot more in the months afterwards and a year later some more as well. Lots of different things, some of which made a big difference: adding / moving / replacing external lights, installing lights in walk-in cupboards and wardrobes, replacing light switch cages, repairing a circuit board on an extractor hood, changing light switches to operate different lights. I can honestly say that these things made an important difference and improved how I felt about the house. It made it more comfortable and easier to live in; this I think underlines the value you can get. Personally I would ask him to charge by the hour, rather than the task, not everybody is comfortable with that arrangement, but I think it gives the best value; the guy is experienced and doesn't mess about. If you want someone inexperienced, talks excessively and wastes time this isn't the guy for you. Main points to takeaway: Comes on time - reliable and consistent, responds to emails and calls Very focused - no time wasting - no engaging in meaningless conversations Clear and concise explanations of problems and how to solve them Trustworthy - bringing someone new into your home is normally a big thing Great value for what you get - on the cheap side - but not too cheap that you begin to question it Services: Outdoor lighting installation, Installation, Electrical outlet & switch installation, Light fixture repair, Electrical panel replacement or upgrading, General repairs, Security system installation
