Heatseal Insulation Ltd

Myaoginistic company who would only send someone to give me a quote if my husband was at home as I would be unable to retain the information. Other companies have been in touch and are happy to come out when my husband isnt here. This is a disgrace and the policy needs to change.

I had a cold call from this company to ask if we wanted a Free survey of our loft as they were in the area. I stupidly said yes. The surveyor Tony came, went into the loft with his machine to test for wet/dry rot. We were told we needed this insulation as it would help to not only keep house warm, but also help to dry out the dampness he had found. I asked our son to come home from work to help me as my husband has Dementia. Tony gave a lot of waffle we didn't need to know so much that my son said, " I've been here an hour, just get to the point". TBF we were told we had a year to decide and the price would stick, however hubby said do it, so we paid a deposit, and lo & behold there were guys in the area who could do it that day! I wanted to clear the loft ..No need they said. The men who came were very polite, did not wear protective clothing, which surprised me as I said there was fiberglass in the loft, and the pipe that took the foam up had black take around it as a repair!!!. I have recently been up in the loft which is a mess, the men did clear up what had fallen out of the loft, however one of the men said his boss would contact us within 8 weeks to come and make sure he had correctly installed the insulation, it is now going into that period and we haven't heard from or seen anyone. There was no mention either of air vents, I regret saying yes to these people.

Quotatis connected me with Heatseal Insulation LTD, who charged me 1130 to spend 1 hour applying 120 worth of Safeguard Europe Ltd Stormdry. I feel stupid for not having shopped around. Having posted the above review on Checkatrade and Facebook, I had two successive telephone calls from representatives of the company, apparently willing to stay on the line until they had persuaded me that the service their company had provided was good value for money - which in my settled view it most certainly was not.
