This is a very unusual church - more like a family mausoleum set in the grounds of a great private estate. It is now open again and worth a visit for its many 18th and 19th century curiosities

Not very easy to find, but if you're in the area and not in a hurry, worth the effort. There is a lack of signposting, and no obvious path from the road to the church: you have to either walk through some trees or a flower garden to get the the church. It is full of intersting busts, funerary monuments, and tablets, and seems to be more of a private mausoleum than a church for public use. It does not get many visitors, so you will probably have it to yourself. The adjacent Retreat Centre, which presumably owns the land, does not mind if members of teh public explore the landscaped gardens, with a view across the Thames to Radley.
