Got to this place this evening at 20:10 for a 19:00 booking fair enough we were late but traffic cannot be helped. Arrived at the gatehouse, no clear indication as to where to report to as a driver at all. Saw a bloke in the gatehouse so knocked on the window for some help, he seemed more interested in his phone so I knocked again to have him throw his hands in the air at me? Then found the correct door went inside and said I have a delivery for him to turn around and say this isnt gist this is GXO? Then went through the gate to turn around as asked by him and then he comes running out towards me and the trainee driver I had with myself for him to say are you stupid , you need to wake up then aggressively gets in our faces as he clearly believes his bright coloured hi vis gives him some sort of authority (clearly a wannabe policeman) . Then get inside the office to be told the load will be rejected as it is late which is fair enough but as said before traffic conditions and other job delays cannot be helped. To be fair the office staff and shunters seemed polite but be careful as some of the drivers also seem to struggle with manners as whilst I was sorting out the paperwork they approached the apprentice driver with me and said can you move this f*cling wagon , this place needs to really give there security staff a lesson in manners and maybe give them some lessons in regards to understanding basic english. Absolutely unimpressed with my experience at this depot and will never be returning again.
