Found this hotel to be dated and grubby. There was mould on the shower curtain which was replaced when we highlighted this to reception. We booked a family room and found the beds to be uncomfortable. We did not have a good night sleep in them. We also had the "grab and go" breakfast which we chose not to grab due to the poor selection of items not suiting our taste. The location of this hotel was very handy for us but we would have happily driven a little further for a more pleasant hotel experience.

This was the perhaps the strangest hotel stay I've ever had. I can only assume that I was the last guest to arrive as the person at the front desk handed me my key without asking me for any details, including my name. I went to my ground floor room which was very cold and turned the heater on as high as I could get it to go. As I was unpacking, I could see the reflection of the toilet in the mirror and discovered a big black patch of mould on the rim of the toilet. The sink was blocked and had water in it. There was no soap in the dispenser for handwashing or in the shower. There was a lot of outdoor noise, which I assumed was due to the carpark being just outside of the window. When I woke up in the morning and opened the curtains, I saw that the window was open, which did explain why the room way icy cold and I could hear everything outside. At that point I was just happy that no one got into the room during the night. There was no one at the desk when I left, so I dropped the key off and left. I have no idea if anyone even noticed that I was ever even there. I would think twice before ever staying at another Travelodge and would definitely never stay at this one again.
