Beware. Lloyd admitted to us he is not a photographer by trade having worked as an Engineer at Rolls Royce and running another Salsa Dancing business. I implore you to seek a full time professional to avoid the issues we have had with Lloyd personally & with the poor standard of our wedding photos. We requested natural shots with some poses, by natural we did not mean of squirrels of which there were 6 photos all of which were strangely included with the video montage to our choice of music, rendering the video embarrassing and useless, he seems to think the montage is OK? The framing of the photos is poor and includes for example public toilet signs, and us so far in the distance we are insignificant to the shot. In all cases after submitting the digital images to a professional photographer for review it was confirmed that the colour balance and exposure was out. In most of the shots Lloyd claims to be natural they look like at least one of the people in shot has their eyes closed or is looking away, they are not natural but badly timed and framed. In the run up to the ceremony Lloyd was more interested in the ballroom from which he could run his Salsa lessons! Alarm bells should have rang earlier when he advised he had not been to the Arboretum which is a main stay for wedding photos in the city of Nottingham for years. Nor had he been to the council house where ceremonies are performed as a regular local photographer would have. Upon complaining Lloyd blamed us saying we did not communicate our requirements. He was hired at short notice but our complaint was not necessarily with the content but the terribly poor execution. I state that a decent photographer taking the same shots would have produced well time executed photos. Whilst sadly the actual shots could not be changed he insisted on reworking some of the photos by cropping them, the results were poor so not one of the reworked photos is any good. Instead of the rework I wanted the RAW images to issue to a real professional so something could be rescued. He reluctantly released some of the files so I hope we can get 4 or 5 usable photos. He has turned aggressive and is refusing to assist leaving us with noting but a slim chance of someone else correcting his shoddy work. Please use a full time professional noting that all good reviews are direct from his own website not Google or other sites and cannot therefore be verified. I hope you find this honest series of events helpful in making your decisions.
