Nathan O'Brien Photography

I was very lucky to have known Nathan outside of his photography business in a shared workplace, as shortly after I'd gotten engaged, I cheekily asked if he had any availability on our wedding day. Thankfully he did! And we have many wonderful photos as proof of that. I'd known from the get go Nathan O'Brien Photography would do a fantastic job (I'd seen snippets of his work beforehand after all!) but he also has such a fantastic sense of humour and a real eye for detail. Combine that with passion for his work and countless hours put into it, and you have a top class photographer right there. We were initially uncertain which package to pick but in the end decided for 10 - 12 hours. It was worth every penny - trust people when they say the day goes by in a blur! Nathan captured so many wonderful shots, posing and candid, and it was so touching to see parts of the day that I didn't get to see myself. Nathan was always on the ball with communications and very accommodating to requests. He blended in beautifully with the families and friends at the wedding and I think many had a laugh with him! I've looked over the photos myself many times; I honestly can't get enough of them! The wedding photo reel video ending with the shot of our wedding invitation pinned by magnets on my parents' fridge was such a clever little detail, and also the cherry on top for me (that poor fridge has supported magnets for many years, and that sentimental combination of something old and something new is just the kind of detail that Nathan is able to spot with his photographer's eye). If you're ever looking for a photographer, for wedding or otherwise, look no further than Nathan O'Brien Photography. I was delighted when I was able to 'bagsy' him to be our wedding photographer, and even more so when I saw our photos. And if you've made it all the way to the end of my rambling review, please trust me when I say you will not find a better (or funnier) photographer! We contracted Nathan to photograph our wedding, originally planned for August 2020. Nathan was an exemplary professional throughout and kept in constant contact with us at each stage of the process. He has proven to be a personable, reliable, punctual individual who takes great care and goes to great effort to deliver on the brief given. We found Nathan a joy to deal with and look forward to using/recommending his services again the future. Due to Covid we had to rearrange our wedding twice - Nathan was very accommodating and receptive to these challenges and ultimately did a perfect job on the day. Absolutely fantastic, wonderful photos. Extremely professional and communication skills throughout the planning process. Nathan was a very pleasant nice person and took great pride when taking photos.
