He spotted a tumour (Ocular melanoma) within my left eye and acted immediately by sending me to the QMC. I had my eye removed with the tumour approximately a month later. I feel blessed that this Optician spotted the tumour early before it spread to the liver which would have been fatal. I will be forever thankful to this Optician and Opticians.
I only went to the Opticians that day because I could get free glasses through work as I was too tight to buy them myself,
how stupid was I?
I could always find money for a pint......
Please, Please Please get your eyes checked, you can get free tests more or less anywhere as it could save your life like it did mine.
