It has lovely little cafe and a variety of activities throughout the week for all ages, abilities & interests within the local community.
It's the home of the 'Sherwood Playgroup', a dance school, yoga studio, and a wide range of local non-profit organisations, community groups & small businesses.
The centre also runs its own weekly activity/social event which aims to combat loneliness & isolation and help improve mental & physical well-being. The session is run by a volunteer fitness instructor with all of its proceeds going back into the centre.
There are numerous rooms, of all different sizes, including a large hall, that are available to hire for regular bookings as well as ad hoc events.
The centre also runs many fundraising & social events throughout the year, such as car boot sales, fitness/wellbeing events and an annual Christmas Fayre.
The grounds the centre is located on is really lovely too. It's a Grade 2 listed building, surrounded by beautiful greenery, and steeped in history (they even sometimes run little history tours of the building).
It's got a decent-sized car park, which backs onto a lovely little meadow and woodland area, which is great for walking your dog or just going for a leisurely stroll.
I would highly recommend this place anyone!
