Beechwood Butchers

Was told of this establishment whilst on Twitter. My local butcher had recently closed down and I'm not keen on supermarket meat so was looking for a genuine old fashioned butcher. Anyway this place is fairly local to me so I went and gave it go. The owner, Andrew I think his name is, was very helpful and was only too willing to discuss cuts of meat and preparation and cooking options. The meat itself, I had steaks, lamb and pork, along with some bacon and homemade sausage, was all excellent. Very tasty and with no excessive fat. I've since been back again and the quality was still excellent. So if you like old fashioned good service with good quality meat, then I suggest you give them a try. One thing to note is there opening times. They open early at 7.30am and close at 2pm.

Always good quality products and their home made potted beef is superb. The staff know their products and are highly knowledgeable, friendly but very professional.

I was looking for boerewors and saw Beechwood on Google, I'm very impressed with the wors and the cheese griller's and recommend the butcher highly.
