HQ Karate. Bunbu Dojo Karate School

My son has been enjoying learning at this Dojo since the beginning of the year. He is very enthusiastic every Friday attending his lessons. He has already made great progress and achieved two belts. As a parent I appreciate that James educates them in life lessons, respect, integrity, hard work, determination and gratitude - additional personal qualities to achieve in life, as well as in sport. I am also impressed by how the children in the class are kind to one another and help each other with their learning. I know my son is in safe hands, learning lots but most importantly he is happy!

This is a brilliant karate school which I have attended for over 7 years now. I've learnt so much here, not only karate but I've gained so many experiences, skills and friends from my time at the club. James is a great teacher who has made these years so much fun and has helped me and taught me so many valuable lessons. I'm very glad I chose this school and would highly recommend.

My Son(10) has been attending this club since the age of 4. He says: " It has really built my confidence and it is really fun. Sensei James makes you feel welcome and comfortable". The club fosters a respectful and inclusive attitude in its members. The many classes at different locations across Rushcliffe make it easy to go to a class near you.

James runs a fantastic karate club. Both my girls go and have progressed rapidly, the eldest achieving blackbelt in 3 years, aged 11! James makes the learning fun and brings his wealth of teaching experience and breadth of his imagination to make the classes interesting, motivating and meaningful. The kids love it and can't get enough. They have both grown in confidence and self-discipline since joining the club.This weekend he took 3 members of the squad to Ireland for the National competition and they all came back with at least 2 medals each. Couldn't recommend the club highly enough.

Such a fantastic club. Both my kids are members and it's been great for them in terms of progression in karate, providing a wonderful little "family" and social club and their personal development. They have progressed rapidly through the belts, mainly because they are so focused and inspired by Sensei James (he is like the Pied Piper with all the club kids - they adore him!) They have grown in confidence both in themselves and in their karate and have taken part in some fantastic competitions, both near and far. The club is very supportive and the higher belts and/or older kids really look after the younger belts/kids which is a real pleasure to see (and great for them). And then there's the "Respect" ethos of karate, which is very strong in the club. My kids also like the social events and fund raising activities they do too. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to try karate.
