The room was very small had a hole in the ceiling and the quilt cover also had a hole in it. There was a deep step down into the toilet/shower room with no warning. There is no restaurant or bar but places near by. But the plusses side was it was very clean and a bus stop right out side with a frequent bus service into the city centre. Safety: Did not like the step down in to the toilet shower room with no warning and at night if going to use the toilet is dangerous as you have to use the room light to stay safe.

Decent value for money. Room was clean and staff friendly .Giving 4 stars as pub opposite can get pretty loud, as other review mentioned some stricter policy regarding noice could be applied - I was woken up multiple times around ~3am when intoxicated guest from next room were shouting around and slamming doors. Also tiles in bathroom were cracked.

My recent experience with this hotel was nothing short of a nightmare. Although the hotel itself seemed decent enough, the owner's behavior left much to be desired. Initially, the owner was polite and accommodating, but as soon as we arrived back to the hotel later in the evening, his demeanor completely changed. He became controlling and rude, demanding that we go straight to our room and threatening to call the police if we didn't do as we were told. The reason we were taking a bit longer was because one of our group had lost their phone and we were searching for it. Despite our explanations, the owner continued to behave in an unreasonable manner, which left us feeling incredibly uncomfortable but we did as asked and quitely went back to the room. To make matters worse, the following morning, the owner was still rude and unpleasant. When we tried to express our concerns about his behavior the night before, he became defensive and dismissive. He then proceeded to kick us out of the hotel without any warning or explanation and blaming the fact we'd travelled down from near Liverpool. Overall, I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. The owner's behavior was completely unacceptable, and we felt unsafe and unwelcome during our stay. If you're looking for a pleasant and stress-free hotel experience, I suggest you look elsewhere.
