From the moment we stepped into the Co-Op Funeralcare in Arnold we were greeted with such compassion. We lost our dear mother / wife and mother-In law early in the New Year and this was the first time we had ever had to arrange a funeral. We didn't know what to do, or even where to start. Maria was our first point of contact when we walked in and she sat us down straight way without an appointment and made us a list of everything we needed to consider and do. She was so lovely, friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble. This was the second funeral parlour we had been to, the first (I will not mention names) but we knew from the moment we spoke to them we were just a another number and they weren't really helpful so after there and going to the Co-Op we knew they would be prefect. We made an appointment shortly after to start the process and this time saw Jess who again was so lovely and really made us feel at ease, talked through everything what we wanted, where etc and was so respectful. Everything went perfectly our aim was to get mum moved as soon as possible from the hospital chapel to Co-Op Arnold so we all could see her and be with her. Collette who works there also dealt with us and again nothing was too much trouble and she did everything we asked and if there was ever a doubt, a question or something to change or add to the funeral they all (Maria/Jess/Collette) made sure it was done. We wished to do mum's makeup and hair ourselves and knew this is what she would have liked also and again this was no problem this was done at their head off i believe being in Lenton and the staff there were also very friendly and happy to help with anything if required. The day came and our funeral celebrant was Stuart. What a loving and caring gentleman he is!!! He guided us through every step of what was going to happen the night before when mum was taken into church to rest and the day of the service. He is just faultless. This has been one of the hardest times of all our lives, something we never expected to do... not this soon in life. We would just like to say thank you to each and everyone of you who helped us through and made the process easier and the guide and advise you gave us to make mums send off just perfect. Our mum would have been so happy and proud. Thank you for not only being professionally amazing but for treating us as family not just customers. Your all a credit to the company.
