I can recommend Andrew The Sandman very highly. When we came to fit real wooden floors throughout our lounge and dining room he was the only person who quoted who would remove the skirting boards and replace them rather than fitting beading along the boards. He had an excellent selection of wood to choose from and fitted the floors within three days. He was very careful while working in our house and you can tell the craftsmanship and experience he has. He even made protective wooden cups for the piano legs to protect our floor. The floor still looks fantastic 2 years later and he has just been round to repair a large scratch we had caused by moving furniture. I cannot fault him in anyway and I agree with the other reviewer in that he is very personable and completely trustworthy. Highly recommended.

I am a property developer and I restore and refurbish houses to a very high standard. The Sandman has sanded and varnished all the floors for me in four Victorian houses and laid a solid oak floor. I have found the service to be very reliable, good value and the floors are finished to an excellent standard, using a very hard wearing sealant. The results are always beautiful and have helped me rent my properties really quickly and to fantastic tenants. Andrew is very experienced in all aspects of wood and laminate flooring and I highly recommend him as a contractor for small or large jobs. He is personable and trustworthy and always gets on well with other contractors on site. I know he has many other customers including large retailers. He is often working in houses locally but also travels to London and other parts of the UK. Highly recommended.

Underestimated time to do job. Left job unfinished and with my house key,promising to return. Like a fool I paid in good faith. 4/5 weeks later job still not finished and key not returned. Shoddy, rushed work also: varnish coming off floor already, tread marks clearly visible, dust everywhere, in areas grit varnished over so floor rough and unsightly.
