InstaVolt Charging Station

As always instavolt work first time and only a tap of the mobile needed to start and pay.

I always use InstaVolt for my charging, however, I now have a fine for using this car park for 20 minutes at 7.45 in the morning. Please be aware

BEWARE !! Charger worked well as usual with InstaVolt. Unfortunately because I entered the open car park of this kfc and charged between 0740 and 0810, I received a parking fine. It turns out there is no parking outside opening times of the kfc. The signs say maximum stay 90 minutes between 10.30 and 2330. It is very ambiguous and I certainly felt I wasnt breaching their parking regulations charging an EV for half an hour at 0740 when the whole place was deserted. I have used similar kfc and McDonalds based InstaVolt chargers before but probably wont now in future unless the place is clearly open. Very disappointed InstaVolt, at least turn the machines off during times they cant be used, so it is obvious or put your own proper signs up.

Covered 154 miles on trip to Nottingham, plugged in our Kona 64Kw at 43% it charged to 60% then stopped for no apparent reason, able to restart charge to 80% which it is currently doing..

This a probably a bit unfair as I have always found instavolt to be an efficient quick and easy recharge. However I used the charging station at KFC on Colwick Road in the early hours of the morning and find myself I receipt of a 100 parking fine. Although it quite clearly states 24 hrs availability the site parking is from 10.30am to 11 pm. It must be a new rule because we have charged here many times before with no problem. A very expensive 30 minute charging session. Charger beware.
