Getting an appointment is extremely difficult. I understand the pressures and the statement explaining that GP practices have not been provided with the funding in order to meet the high demand for GPs, but it seems a postcode lottery. Friends at other practices are not reporting the same problems. This is a very sad state of affairs for our local community. Whether you visit the GP in the morning (you need to get there by 7.30am at the latest to have any chance of getting those prized single number appointment cards) or if you decide to try your luck and keep hitting the redial button, it's a hugely frustrating and often stressful experience, especially if you're wanting an appointment for your child. There is no blame on reception staff, they're just doing what they're told to do, but please, there must be a better system.

Phoned 111 who told me I need to go to the gp and to say I have been referred and need an appointment within the next 2 hours. Rang gp for them to say no they cant get me in even though I have been referred.

Gone very much downhill . Ridiculous waiting times to get through to anyone . Poor attitude from pretty much everyone you speak to . Had a doctor ring once - no voicemail after waiting weeks for the appointment . Then I had to wait another few weeks for the next call shambles .

Been at this GPS for 20years now & it used to be good. But sadly even before covid it was getting worse. Why aren't they back to normal now ! Seems they don't want to see people face to face & are more often than not working from home. On Friday the 30th I phoned to get my son an appointment, only to be told there wasn't even one doctor in that day @ i'v tried for two days to call them to cancel a physio appointment I have today & cannot make it. No one is answering so I guess that I will be down as a no show Not my fault. I'm surprised this surgery isn't in spec6 measures.
