Waited nearly 40, minutes and no answer on the phone

Got sent home (which is miles away) to apply for child's bank account as apparently its easier. To do so and find the online application then tells me to take ID in to branch!! Which is what I had tried to do! Now have to find time to drive back again, plus they close at 3pm and not open Saturdays!
