I have just completed on my first property through Auction Estates, they have been nothing short of fantastic from start to finish. I had never purchased a property via auction before and Paul took the time to explain the whole process to me. Additionally, the aftersales has been great, they have answered all my questions and supported me throughout the process. Overall I would highly recommend Auction Estates

My brother and I attended an Auction Estates auction today (16/6/22) with the intention of buying a property. (We have bought two properties through them in the past.) While we understand that a vendor can sell their property at whatever price they like, it is wrong to set a guide price which is more than 30% less than the Reserve price, which in my understanding should be set within 10% of the Guide. In 2014 the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) set a ruling that the guide price must sit within a 10% range of the reserve price. If we had known that the reserve would be more than 30% higher than the guide price we would not have wasted our time in even viewing the property. I notice a number of other properties in the same auction had a similar gulf between guide and reserve. For us we would not consider viewing Auction Estate properties in the future if this continues to be the practice.

I was virgin auction buyer until I purchased a property through Auction Estates. Overall it was an okay experience. The fees to buy we're fair approx 1440. Their solicitor fee was approx 1750 and they were a bit rude and didn't seem so good with their service. I purchased Dec 9th and they have 28 days and I assumed 28 working days. Their solicitors were off over Christmas and New Year for approx 12 days and they don't account for that so I technically only had about 16 days. I didn't appreciate the solicitor part but overall it was an okish experience with Auction Estates. I'm sure there are better and worse. Paul the auctioneer was quite responsive on the phone too. My best advice is to do your due diligence beforehand and become clear and aware of things beforehand.
