Good level of facilties. Sadly it is on lock down at the moment. I look forward to when this is over. These are Views of Canal View from the Canal. Plus the football ground of the Ilkeston ground which is a stone's throw from the home. They will be able to hear the home team being cheered on.

Staff are lovely and very helpful. My dad was in respite and can be a bit of a handful and grumpy but they were very good with him.

Absolutely terrible, if I could do less than 1 star I would!! My Grandad was transferred to this care home from hospital due to his dementia and immobility. This in itself is challenging for my grandad adapting to a new setting, the staff showed a lack of respect and professionalism as well as a worrying lack of care. During his time at canal cue he had numerous falls, didnt look clean, whenever I visited staff were unsure even where my grandad was! He was often left in his room without any interaction, his personal belonging such as clothes, shoes and glasses were damaged or lost. I in myself felt uncomfortable visiting this care home due to numerous reasons but the staff did nothing to support or change this. In my opinion I would highly suggest to look at other care homes and absolutely would not recommend canal vue. My Grandad has since moved to a different care home and even within weeks it is extremely noticeable the difference of care.
