        Actually only two bridges. I felt a little bit cheated. Luckily there's another bridge just down the road to make up the deficit.

        Have walked along the tow path of the Grand Union canal several times before, but Saturday saw me attending a Canal & Rivers Trust event due to the gates at Lock 94 being replaced. Well unformed guides, a tent village with displays of photos, maps, and replaced canal equipment set the tone. We walked down and saw the empty canal basin just downstream of the former Asylum branch. The new lock gates should last 25 years.
