Massively understaffed but always really helpful. I ended up in this post office the other day as didn't have time to get down to the sorting office and it is super convenient to where I live. For the 20 minutes I was in there, I couldn't believe the amount of work it is expected for one person to cover (dealing with customers, paperwork and sorting the handover for the mail to be collected). Apparently thats all ok for one person to be doing at the same time! Needless to say, as a result of this, the queue is sometimes 5-10 minutes long but apparently thats not quick enough for some poeple. Whilst I was there, one customer got so irate and abusive towards the lady working, i'm amazed she didn't walk off! Royal Mail really do need to buck their ideas up as its the front line staff that are suffering the flack of their drastic cost cutting, now causing the staff to not only deal with the unreasonable workload but also the growing number of impatient customers. Anyway, this is not the staffs fault and if you need a local post office, pop into here. Worst case, if theres a bit of a queue, buy a snack or newspaper to help pass the time as its in a Co-Op! No need to kick off!
