I'd been having a few back problems and had thought about Pilates in the past but until I tried Aoife's class, I didn't realise quite how good it is in terms of strengthening the muscles that support your back. Aoife is an extremely clear and patient teacher. Doing Pilates has made a big difference to how strong and supple I feel. I've been doing the classes online each week which means, minimal hassle in terms of getting set up. More importantly it's fun and easy to pick up. Would highly recommend!

I joined for a free taster session & stayed for the excellent instruction! Aoife is very clear and helpful in correcting any problems with posture, making sure we get the best out of the exercises. I climb regularly & have a job that involves manual labour so I consider this class a solid investment in my physical wellbeing. Highly recommend!

Started attending Aoife's Pilates class on a Thursday evening in January as part of a focus on developing good, healthier habits and I'm already noticing the difference its making to counteract sitting in a desk chair all day! Aoife was so welcoming from the first class and really puts you at ease as a total newbie to Pilates, with small class sizes.

I started doing Pilates about a year ago. I spend most of the day sitting at a desk, so Pilates has been amazing for improving my posture and ironing out any imbalances. The morning after a class it feels like someone has "oiled my joints" and I have my full range of movement back. Aoife is so insightful with being able to "see inside the body" and correct me; this has helped me to develop much quicker than I thought I would. There's still one move that I struggle with (the dreaded "teaser") but I am slowly building my ab strength and hope to do this unassisted by the end of the year... that's the goal! There's such a lovely group of regulars that now come to the Thursday class. Pilates is nothing like I imagined it would be (I always assumed it was a bit like yoga, but the two are apples and oranges). If you've never done it before, I'd recommend giving it a go!
