If I could put no stars I would!!!!!!! This care home was OK for care for my grandad, wasn't bad.. wasn't amazing. They brought my mother into the office to ask arrangements for when the time comes so she doesn't have to deal with calls ect when the times comes.. yet my mother and family have just been told he's passed away and we have had 4 calls on the same day of being told hes passed, asking what arrangements we want for him because "they can't just leave his body here!!" Is what they told us on the phone call however this had already been discussed with my mother beforehand to save her from all intrusive questions when the times comes.. Bloody inconsiderate and disgusting.

Mum has been a resident in Larchwood for 8 months following a stroke.Larchwood was recommended to us and we have since recommended it to several people as we have been very pleased with the quality of life and care that mum has received. The staff without exception are both caring and respectful to both residents and their families. We often visit Mum, and see first hand how the staff assist, encourage and support the residents with their individual needs. Well done Larchwood and a big thanks for all you do

My mum was put in the home by the hospital just before lock down which unfortunately wasn't allowed too vist so didn't know the home was like. Unfortunately my mum wa rushed into hospital covered in bruises sadly she passed away she also had open sores on her bum and it was red raw most likely sitting in the same spot for 5 weeks

My mum moved into Larchwood just over a year ago. It was my first experience moving a loved one into a care home (quite a major life changing choice for all involved) but essential for her day to day care. From my first contact with the nurses and further meeting all the staff, they helped greatly in putting my mind at ease at a time which can be very stressful. I had initial reservations about Larchwood's poor CQC ratings (as a first timer, not sure how to work out which care home was best for my mum) but through the new management team (in just before my mum) you could tell they were trying really hard to make a great difference in improving their reputation through making the care of the residents their top priority. With Covid it has been a challenging year for everyone but they have exceeded my expectations of the care I hoped my mum would receive. They have also excelled in supporting family access via video calls and controlled visits (with PPE). My thanks to all the staff.
