We chose to go with a UK wide conveyancing company as we realised it was a fairly standard process up and down the country and therefore didnt need to be a local firm. We also hadnt had an amazing experience when we sold a previous house using a local lawyer so thought surely it cant be worse. But in actual fact we had a excellent experience. Our lawyer Laura and Notary Express was extremely helpful and professional. What surprised me most was that she just got things done, a total completed/finisher, and even when she was on holiday shes do work in the evenings just to keep things ticking over and even if there wasn't a terrible rush. Any time I wanted to speak she was available on her direct line and she would recall our case with ease. She was able to explain things in laymans terms which was very helpful and didnt mind going back over things when I needed more details. We also had issue with the lawyers in the other side being slow at times and she call them up and chase them which really was above and beyond! I would recommend her to anyone! And the biggest surprise was that it cost exactly what she said it would despite things falling through on one house and the sale being a bit more complex due to a boundary issue, I assumed we would get extra charges from all the phone calls but no its was exactly the quoted amount! What an amazing service! Interesting she was based in Norwich and our sale was in wales but it really made no difference as everything was done over the phone/email and post.
