Moved here from another bjj club. Helton was very welcoming when I first enquired and invited me down for a free trial session and joined shortly after. Helton is a super nice dude and extremely knowledgeable. The atmosphere he's achieved is great and everybody down is just as nice and approachable! Best training decision I've ever made and intend on being with the club for the long haul!!

Been training at Koning for a couple months now. First words that were said to when I got there was This is your home now. No judgement, no nonsense; Most welcoming group of lads Ive ever met. Joining Koning was the best decision Ive made and they push you to your absolute limits. Cannot recommend Heltons expertise and this gym enough. OSS

Koning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy is truly a special place for women. The community of female students and coaches is welcoming and inclusive, creating a positive and supportive environment for everyone. The coaching staff, led by main coach Helton, is top-notch and dedicated to helping each student achieve their goals, whether that be to become a competitive athlete or simply to stay fit and learn self-defense. The training program is well-rounded and tailored to the needs of each student, allowing them to progress at their own pace. One of the things that sets Koning apart is the emphasis on safety. The coaches are highly experienced and are constantly monitoring the training to ensure that everyone is practicing techniques correctly and safely. This is particularly important for those new to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, as it allows them to learn and progress without fear of injury. Another great thing about Koning is the team spirit and camaraderie among the students. The team mates are friendly and supportive, and there is a strong sense of community. This is evident in the regular team events and socials outside of training hours, which help to further strengthen the bonds between the members. As a woman, I would like to specially mention that Coach Helton is not only a great coach but also a wonderful person. He is extremely supportive and encourages his female students to strive for their best. He believes in the potential of his students, and works hard to help them achieve their goals. Overall, Koning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gym is an excellent place to learn and practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The coaching, facilities, and community are all top-notch, making it a great choice for any woman looking to improve their skills and fitness. I highly recommend it!

Ive been training at Koning fighting academy for 6 months now and can honestly say its one of the best things Ive ever done Helton is brilliant at what he does and a good teacher. Soon as I stepped on the matt I was made to feel very welcome and was a good atmosphere. Theirs a great group of people and everyone is always more then happy to help each other out and with Helton,s guidance and knowledge its a brilliant place to train and better yourself I would % recommend you try it! and like me you will not be disappointed and will always leave smiling and wanting more
