Deniz has a real passion for Qigong and an extensive knowledge which he shares with enthusiasm in his relaxed and natural teaching style. His teaching builds up in gentle layers, so you absorb only what is the next level or depth for you. Even if its your first session Denizs instructions are so clear; to follow them is easy and youll start to benefit. The daily live online classes really work for me, Im there! It feels like belonging. Deniz records each class so a catch up is also possible.
Regular daily practice, for me, has greatly improved my early morning backache, general stiffness and surprisingly, mobility in my arthritic fingers.
Focusing on breathing and the flow of chi is wonderfully meditative. I feel calmer, more resilient, and relaxed. A great start to the day.
Gentle movements, deep breathing and stilling the mind, whats not to like?
Deniz is an inspirational teacher.
My only regret is I didnt find Qigong sooner!

Deniz explains exactly how to sit properly, safely move your muscles, breathe correctly and feel the ocean within you. I have already recommended this class to family and friends and urge anyone to try them too.
Good Morning Deniz,
I think your 30 days of Qigong is a brilliant idea for newcomers. And the planned class for NYE is definitely something I will be tuning in to.
Update:
This is what I have learned since joining Deniz's online classes in September, the things that have utterly transformed my life and aided my recovery -
Belly breathing - Absolutely the best thing to avoid panic attacks with having to wear a face mask. (This is childhood trauma from the gas masks used to knock me out for various operations.) From zero tolerance to breathing in it without sweating and shaking to calmly having a 40 minute echocardiogram in a mask and just focusing on breathing and pushing those clouds away with each breath.
How to stand and how to shift weight and feel the air hold me up, the difference in strength and balance is astonishing. I've been deaf in my left ear since I had German measles as a child (I wasn't inoculated as doctors didn't think I would live to be five, as many Fallot's Tretolologists didn't in my era then.) I've never been able to balance on my left leg, now I can, but equally I don't trip or fall as much.
My peripheral neuropathy in my feet is lessoning and for the first time since chemotherapy I can feel the minute difference from standing on a mat by the fireplace and the carpet it sits on. As in I can feel the textures of the different fibers. I occasionally stand on the doormat which is spiky as its like coconut fibers because I can feel that.
Trust. I have began to trust my body, for a long time after my cancer and embulisum in the aortic valve I was scared of what my body would do next. The fear may not ever go away, but now I sometimes stand in front on a mirror and say well done body, we did good today.
Calmness and inner peace. The bellybreathing aids any stressful situation and helps me fall asleep too.
Healing. Of all kinds, but especially emotional. I have never laughed or cried so much in learning new things. I'm glad my other half is working in the week as some days the tears fall, but they needed to fall to move forward.
Probably a weird one but thinking rather than reacting to something, instead of flying off the handle (It's the menopause - I was never this vocal in expressing my needs.) Or instead of impatience taking a breath and trying to understand my reaction to others and diffusing a situation. I lost a huge part of my resilience when our daughter in law died, trivial things wound me up, but I realise that was more how I refused to acknowledge the fact I have survivors guilt. Qiging makes me acknowledge emotions and afterwards I can reflect on ways to make me the person I was before 2016.
I said a while back what is this magic, and thats exactly how I still feel. I wanted someone to heal me from my insides, my mind, my body, soul, and spirit and you and Qigong have done that.
It is sn absolute privilege to be taught by you. I feel very blessed. Thank you for what you do. You have changed me back into the person I want to be.
